It is with sadness that we surrender Gert to God. But we are comforted by the fact that he is now in God’s loving embrace. It is hard to lose someone you love for the past 32 years. The last days of Gert were not smooth sailing because he was always in pain. But God is good as He did not allow Gert undergo further suffering. We thank all of you for the moral support especially the prayers.

Gert has lived the good life and he has served his God very well. He was a great father to his children. He was a good husband. He is everybody’s friend even to his enemies. He is incorruptible. He is so just and fair.

But all in all, he was a teacher to all of us, and he taught as very well. His words of wisdom are rare gems, and we are privileged that he has imparted these to us. Until his last day, he was teaching us life lessons– to embrace the spiritual journey, to search for the truth, and to live only for God.

Death is not the end of all. It is just actually the beginning. In heaven, our dear Gert will be working with God’s angels to guide and help us through our earthly lives. His crossover from human life to a higher spiritual life is a promotion for him. And we all know that the lawyer in Gert is ready to face the challenge– the challenge of helping mankind evolve its state further.
